For the purpose of passengers’ and general traffic safety, the 11th tram stop Warriors’ cemetery in Gaujas Street has been transferred 100 meters further in the direction of Mežaparks and will be open as of Tuesday, June 22.

The new tram stops are built to the order of Riga City Council’s Transport Department. They are provided with new platforms and shelters, lighting and barriers to protect pedestrians.

The passengers will be able to reach the new tram stops by regulated pedestrian crossings. So far they have had to cross Gaujas Street by a non-regulated crossing at a place with high traffic intensity.
