“Rīgas satiksme” is launching campaign “Make trips in public transport nicer!”

This week “Rīgas satiksme” starts placing posters in posters in public transport to inform passengers about the everyday work of “Rīgas satiksme” staff and the duties of passengers to make daily trips in public transport nicer. The goal of the campaign is to show the public that it is only possible to improve the quality of trips with passengers’ support and interaction between the company and its clients.


Cleaning of vehicles, renovation of the public transport fleet, as well as planning of the route network make up just a little share of “Rīgas satiksme” staff’s duties aimed to ensure nice trips in Riga. Passengers, in turn, can make a contribution to improving the quality of trips by following the public transport using rules, registering their trips and arriving at public transport stops in time. Only interaction with 4100 “Rīgas satiksme” employees, who serve 7500 public transport runs on the average on 81 tram, trolleybus and bus routes, and 400 000 passengers, who use public transport daily, can provide conditions which are necessary to make trips nicer for everybody.
