Application for Student e-cards on the website www.eriga.lv extended until 9 September

Students of forms 1, 5 and 10, as well as those who change their school, can get new Student e-cards by their parents applying on the website www.eriga.lv until 9 September. “Rīgas satiksme” recommends parents not to put off filling out the application until the last moment, as an e-card that is applied for on 10 September or later, will only be available in one of the seven Customer Centres.

“Rīgas satiksme” reminds parents to fill out an online application for a Student e-card on the website www.eriga.lv; the corresponding school data will be selected automatically. The student’s picture must be attached to the application. Based on the received application, “Rīgas satiksme” will produce the Student e-cards and deliver them to schools, where they will be signed by the headmaster and handed out to students.

The online applications filled out on the website www.eriga.lv after 9 September, will be forwarded to “Rīgas satiksme” Customer Centres, where one can collect them by providing an identity document (passport or ID card). To authorise the Student e-card, it must then be delivered to the school headmaster for signing.

To save parents’ time “Rīgas satiksme” has facilitated the application and updating process for Student e-cards. Last year the Riga City Council Information Technology Centre, in cooperation with “Rīgas satiksme” and the Education, Culture and Sports Department, developed the e-service "Application for Student e-card", where parents can apply for a new card online.
