During the holiday weekend from 1 to 4 May, public transport will run on a holiday schedule, and there will be changes to the working hours of Rīgas satiksme customer service centres and parking lots. On 4 May, when we celebrate the Restoration of the Independence of the Republic of Latvia, public transport will be free of charge.
Public transport

Parking lots
Riga Municipality paid parking lots operated by Rīgas satiksme will be available free of charge on Friday, 1 May, and Monday, 4 May. The exception is the underground parking lot at K. Valdemāra iela 5A near the Congress Centre, where parking fees will apply according to current rates.
On Saturday and Sunday, 2 and 3 May, however, all parking lots will operate according to their usual weekday or weekend schedules.
The paid parking lot in Vecāķi (Zone V) will begin operating on 1 May, but on that date and on 4 May, the parking lot will be available free of charge. However, on 2 and 3 May, parking fees will apply, just as they do on regular days during the beach season, from 8.00 to 20.00.
