New bus route „Purvciems – Vecmīlgrāvis” to open on November 1
The new route will facilitate the movement of residents in the above districts and provide them with wide access to other districts of Riga. Passengers going from Vecmīlgrāvis will be able to reach Brīvības gatve and Purvciems by the fastest way possible and transfer to other public transport routes, such as bus routes No. 1, 5, 14, 16, 21, 40, 48, 49 and trolleybus routes No. 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 23. Passengers going by this route from Purvciems will be able to reach Sarkandaugava and Vecmīlgrāvis by the fastest way possible, as well as to transfer to bus routes No. 11, 19, 24, and 29. All the above routes provide wide access to other districts of Riga.
At present, public transport passengers spend 50-55 to reach Brīvības gatve from Vecmīlgrāvis, but with the new route it will take by 23-28 minutes less.
From Purvciems, bus No. 58 will run in Vaidavas Street, Ieriķu Street, Gustava Zemgala gatve, Viestura Avenue, Mīlgrāvja Street, Jaunciema gatve, Emmas Street, A.Dombrovska Street, Baltāsbaznīcas Street, Atlantijas Street.
From Vecmīlgrāvis – in Atlantijas Street, Meldru Street, Kreimeņu Street, A.Dombrovska Street, Emmas Street, Jaunciema gatve, Mīlgrāvja Street, Viestura Avenue, Gustava Zemgala gatve, Ieriķu Street, Dzelzavas Street, Vaidavas Street.

We also inform that as of November 1 stop „Brīvības gatve” will be opened on bus route No. 48 in direction of Sarkandaugava.
There will be also changes in the workday schedules of bus rotes No. 2 and 24 as of November 1.
