There will be changes in operation of public transport, paid parking lots and customer service centres on July 8 and 9
„Rīgas satiksme” reminds that pursuant to the law „On Festive, Commemorated and Celebrated Days", the day after the closure of the All-Latvian Song and Dance Festival, July 9, is an official holiday.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Therefore, on July 9 public transport (trams, trolleybuses, buses) in Riga city will run according to holiday schedules. Those passengers who have bought workday tickets should take into account that these tickets will not be valid on July 9. On July 9, minibuses and express buses will run according to Sunday and holiday schedules.
PARKING LOTS
On July 8, the closing day of the All-Latvian Song and Dance Festival, the parking lots operated by „Rīgas satiksme” will be free of charge, except the underground parking at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a, where parking services will have to be paid for according to the effective tariffs.
On Monday, July 9, the parking lots in Old Riga (zone R) and Vecāķi (zone V) will be for pay, but those located in zones A, B, C and D will be free of charge. Parking services in underground parking at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a will have to be paid for according to the effective tariffs.
Customer service centrES
On the festive day, July 8, customer service centres will be closed. On Monday, July 9, the customer service centre at Spīķeru Street 1 will be open from 10:00 until 16:00.
