    Be mobile – pay for parkings services using “Riga Card” application. With “Riga Card” application, you can:

    • pay for parking services;
    • look at public transport timetables and schedules;
    • receive current information for car drivers and passengers;
    • check post-paid bills (coming soon).

    SMS

    If you want to pay for parking with SMS, you have to register in the “Riga Card” SMS payment system and stick a distinction mark – a sticker with the “Riga Card” logo on your glass. Information about possibilities of receiving the sticker, reloading your account and other issues related to SMS payment is available on the “Riga Card” website at www.rigacard.lv

    How to pay with Riga Card? 

    1. Register at “Riga Card” by sending an SMS with JAUNS to or calling phone number 8585
    2. Get connected and reload your account. 
    3. To pay for parking, send START, your car’s number and the tariff zone*, in which your card is parked, to 8585. For example: START PO5933 A).
    4. If you want to pay for a limited parking time, write in the text of the SMS, after the space, the number of minutes after which payment has to be stopped automatically (for example: START PO5933 A 30)
    5. To stop paying, send STOP and teh car’s number to 8585. For example: STOP PO5933 

    Having sent an SMS about starting to pay, you will receive an SMS reply from “Riga Card” that counting time has been started successfully (for example: Auto PO5933 novietots zonā A - car PO5933 parked in zone A).

    Having sent an SMS about stopping to pay, you will receive an SMS reply from “Riga Card” (for example: Auto PO5933 zona A stāvvietas apmaksa pārtraukta - paying for parking car PO5933 in zone A is stopped).

    You can check your account balance by sending an SMS with text KONTS. In the reply, you will receive information about your account balance. You can receive information about active payments by sending an SMS with text STATUS.

    More information about your account balance and effected payments is available on the “Riga Card” website after entering the number of your mobile phone and the verification code you received at the moment of registration. 

  • SMS Rīga

    For legal persons

    Legal persons have to fill in the SMS Rīga account opening form and sign an agreement with SMS Rīga about the use of the payment system. The agreements and the rules are available on the SMS Rīga website.

    * Tariff zone – as different tariffs are effective in various places of Riga, parking lots are divided into several tariff zones – A, B, C, D, R and V.  

  • Mobilly

    If you want to start using SMS in order to pay for parking lot services, you need the identification sign of the SMS payment system user – a sticker with „Mobilly” logotype. Information about the possibility of receiving the sticker, reloading the account and other issues related to SMS payments is also available on „Mobilly” website.

    To receive information and to send/receive short messages, remember the following phone number - 1859.

    Having put your car in the parking lot, please send an SMS to the indicated number with the following information:

    • start to pay for parking lot (start)
    • car number
    • tariff zone*

    For example - start AA1234 A

    When driving out from the parking lot, please send an SMS to the indicated number with the following information:

    • stop to pay for parking lot (stop)
    • car number
    • tariff zone*

    For example - stop AA1234

    To make sending SMS easier, save SMS texts in your mobile phone!

    After sending an SMS on starting the payment, you will receive a reply letter from „Mobilly” about successful start of time count (STĀVVIETA AKTIVIZĒTA).

    After sending an SMS about ending the payment, you will receive a reply SMS from „Mobilly” about successful termination of time count. (STĀVVIETAS APMAKSA APSTĀDINĀTA).

    The price of a reply SMS is 0.07 EUR. The amount is deducted from the client’s virtual account. One can renounce this short message by sending an SMS.

    One can renounce this short message by sending an SMS to number 1859 with text ATBILDE STOP.
    To resume the reception of reply SMS, you have to send an SMS with text ATBILDE START. 

    You can check your account balance by sending an SMS with text KONTS. In reply SMS you will receive information about the account balance and the number of parked cars at the moment.
