1947 – trolleybus traffic is opened in Riga
- Czechoslovak-made trolleybuses Skoda 8Tr are put into service
- The building of loops at the terminals of all tram lines is finished
- The trolleybus depot in Ganību dambis 32 is opened
- The Central workshops of the RTCT build the tram cars of their own design
1960. First Czechoslovak-made trolleybuses Škoda 8Tr are put into service.
1960. Trolleybus route No. 8 Raiņa Boulevard-Ābolu Street is opened.
1958. The new overpass near Brasa railway station is opened for direct tram traffic to Mežaparks.
1958. Trolleybus route No. 6 Clinical Hospital-VEF is put into service.
1957. The double tracks on tram line No. 6 reach Šmerlis.
1957. Trolleybus route No. 5 Stadium Daugava-Lauvas Street is put into service.
1956. The Central workshops of Tram and Trolleybus Trust (TTT) build the first 4-axis tram motor car RT-56.
1954. The Central workshops of RTCT start serial production of 3-axis joint cars.
1954. MTV-82 tram motor cars reconstruction (narrowing) programme is launched.
1951. The transportation of passengers by buses in the territory of Riga City from RTCT is assigned to Riga bus depot.
