1900. The joint stock company of Riga street railways starts building rail tracks in five tram lines, as well as electric stations and depots.
1900. The Administrative Board of Riga city signs a concession contract with the joint stock company of Riga street railways on the building and operation of electric tram lines in Riga.
1888. The joint stock company of Riga horse-drawn street railways opens the horse-drawn tram line in Suvorov (now K.Barona) Street.
1885. The company of E.L.Dupont, which operates horse-drawn street railways, opens the horse-drawn tram line in Marijas Street.
1884. Riga municipality starts test-mode transportation of passengers across the Daugava by the first five steamboats ( A, B, C, D un E) running on three routes. The steamboats were built on the order of the Administrative Board of Riga city.
1882. The traffic of E.L.Dupont’s horse-drawn trams in Riga is opened on three routes: from Teātra (now Aspazijas) Boulevard along Aleksandra (now Brīvības) Street to Big Pump (now crossing of Brīvības Street and Tallinas Street); along Teātra (now Aspazijas) Boulevard and Kārļa (now 13. janvāra) Street to bridge; from bridge along Daugava Embankment and Maskavas Street to Daugavpils Street.
1882. The Administrative Board of Riga city and E.L.Dupont sign Contract on the building and maintenance of horse-drawn street railways in the city of Riga, which creates basis for the further operation of horse-drawn railways.
