11th July 1901 – traffic of electric trams is opened in Alexander Street (now Brīvības Street)

1920. Tram line No. 4 Daugava Embankment-Rēveles Street is reopened for passenger transportation after reconstruction.
1915. Following the request of Russian military authorities, the commandeering and evacuation of Riga street railways equipment and rolling stock is started, as a result of which traffic of trams is stopped on 8 tram lines.
1913. 10 new motor cars and 20 trailer cars built at the Russian-Baltic carriage factory are put into service.

The joint stock company of Riga street railways opens regular traffic in seven electric tram lines: in Alexander (now Brīvības bas) Street; from the Big pump in Alexander (now Brīvības) Street along Revel (now Tallinas) Street and Miera Street to the Big Cemetery: in Suvorov (now K.Barona) Street to Bruņinieku Street; from Marijas Street in Stabu Street and Avotu Street to Pērnavas Street; in Nicholas (now K.Valdemāra) Street and Ganību dambis to Grain elevator’s railway line; in Maskavas Street to Pump station; in Ring line around the Old town and along the Daugava embankment, in Kārļa (now 13th January) Street, Teātra (now Aspazijas) and Basteja (now Zigfrīda Annas Meierovica) Boulevards.
1901. The joint stock company of Riga street railways builds tram depots in Alexander Street and Fridriha Street.
