The goal of pay parking lots of Riga municipality is to optimize traffic organisation (particularly in streets with intensive traffic), to streamline car traffic and organise their parking so that all Riga residents and guests could drive closer to the necessary destinations and park their cars in specially designated places.

Reserved pay parking lot
Those tenants or owners of non-residential premises who want a reserved parking lot to be organised near the real estate being in their possession, shall submit to RP SIA „Rīgas satiksme” a written application on the organisation of a parking lot, with an attached copy of lease agreement or document confirming the right of ownership. The submitted documents are prepared for consideration and taking decision in the Riga City Council’s commission issuing permits for entering Old Riga and use municipal parking lots.
RP SIA „Rīgas satiksme” organises pay parking lots based on paragraph 2.7. of Riga City Council’ s binding regulations No. 206 of 05.02.2013 „Riga City Council's Binding Regulations on the Opoeration and Use of City’s Municipal Pay Parking Lots”.
The tariffs for the use of reserved pay parking lots are set in paragraph 15 of the above binding regulations.

Parking lots for disabled persons
RP SIA „Rīgas satiksme” in cooperation with Riga City Council’s Transport Department considers and evaluates submitted applications for organising parking lots for disabled persons, develops and harmonizes traffic organization schemes and organizes parking lots for disabled persons.
